I have heard it in your voices and seen it in your faces. I know your hearts. You, the people of Crossroads, have a deep desire to be used by God to reach others with the love and grace of our Lord. You also know that reaching people for Christ today often requires more than just inviting them to a Bible study class or a worship service. People who are already Christian and looking for a church home are comfortable attending a Sunday school class or a worship service to find a new church. Many who are not followers of Christ, however, are simply not ready for those more intense, Christian experiences.
As your pastor I see a great need for us to work together to provide opportunities for all of us to invite those who are not yet followers of Christ to participate in non-threatening activities. By doing this, we can minister to people in Jesus' name and gently introduce them to Christ and His church. At the same time I recognize that our church needs additional classroom space to add new units to our Sunday school. We could also use better worship space for our contemporary services and possible overflow space for our Sunday morning worship services. We also have very limited space for large fellowships in our current Fellowship Hall.
The planned Community Missions Building helps us to accomplish most all of these goals with the central focus on our mission and vision. With this new Community Missions Building in place, Crossroads will be well-positioned to reach out well into the 21st Century and honor God with our worship, education, and outreach ministries. With your generous help, we can reach forward together for Christ.
